Caisson Campaign: Elevate & Honor

What is the Shire Horse Caisson Campaign?
We will raise funds to help purchase two horse drawn carriages. Phase One of our efforts focuses on helping to acquire a practice carriage so that the horses can train and continue to rehabilitate from their previous lifestyle conditions. This Phase is now completed. Phase Two will help to fund the second, more ceremonial carriage, to be used in funeral processions for the casket of those men and women who have served in our armed forces, or local law and fire protection. We need to raise $15,000 to buy a one-of-a-kind ceremonial caisson made using the exact specifications provided by the Smithsonian as a prototype for Arlington National Cemetery. The procession will serve as a beautiful tribute forward, with dignity and honor, to their final resting destination in parts of the tri-state area where carriage utilization is feasible. As My Happy Place appropriately chose as its motto: We are all just here to help walk each other home.
